Limited-edition, Modern-equipped Spruce Top

At its core, the Takamine FT341 acoustic-electric guitar represents the finest in guitar history’s most beloved dreadnought design. Solid spruce and maple in an X-bracing configuration represent a semi-standard guitar design by today’s standards. Still, Takamine has put its own spin on this blueprint by creating a traditional, balanced acoustic with a bevy of modern features for contemporary players. Notable assets include a smooth gloss-finished neck, pristine chrome hardware and tuning machines, and, of course, an advanced CTF-2N preamp system for customizable, authentic tone for the stage and studio.

A traditional concept in Takamine form

The FT341 demonstrates Takamine’s finest craftsmanship within an industry-standard design. Topped with solid spruce and surrounded by maple, this acoustic pulls every tonal nuance out of its build materials to provide an upgrade on an instrumental classic. The result? A familiar, balanced acoustic output with incredible sonic strength and density. Its traditional X-style bracing pattern rounds out the FT341’s tone with reasonable amplification. Simply put: if you’re looking for a premium-built instrument with the foundation of a time-trusted acoustic, the FT341 is your key to the kingdom.

Conditioned for precision and speed

For many guitarists, comfort is a potential new instrument’s make-it or break-it feature. It’s safe to say that the FT341 passes with flying colors. With its gloss-finished mahogany neck in hand, you’ll be surprised at how easily quick note and chord transitions can be made among the FT341’s 22 frets. Similarly, a smooth-as-silk rosewood fingerboard with dot markers will ensure spot-on fretting precision in any chicken-pickin’ or chord progression scenario. This Takamine is topped off with a classic dreadnought body style, making this acoustic a great addition to any stage, studio, or even the porch!

CTF-2N active preamp system

Onboard the FT341 is a brand-new CTF-2N preamp system that refines and revives the sound of Takamine’s popular early FET preamps (nicknamed “The Brownie”). The CTF-2N combines a 2-band EQ and volume sliders with a notch filter (-6dB and -12dB options), which are extremely useful for cutting out unwelcome feedback-causing frequencies that affect your tone. With a simple preamp interface and a chromatic tuner that are easy to use on the fly, the FT341 is a performance workhorse that's set to steal any show visually and sonically.
