Our Planet Needs More Musicians™
Lessons Policy
- All students must have a valid credit card on file with us.
- Full payment must be received before any lesson may be taken by the student.
- Notice for Student Absences – Notice must be given by 1:00pm on the day of the lesson, during regular store hours by speaking to the front desk staff and confirmed through EMAIL to LESSONS@MUSICCENTRECANADA.COM. If notice is given after this time then the lesson is forfeited and full payment applies.
- There are no refunds for missed or cancelled lessons.
- Make-Up Lessons – If proper notice is given for an absence any Make-Up Lessons are subject to the availability of the Teacher and are NOT guaranteed. They must be scheduled and attended within 4 weeks of the original lesson and cannot be carried forward as a credit for future lessons. If the Teacher is not available and/or does not have any open slots or if the Make-Up lesson is not taken within 4 weeks, it will be forfeited (no credit or refund will be given). Absence for a Make-Up lesson for any reason forfeits that lesson.
- Re-Scheduling – Lessons may be re-scheduled to a new regular time with 2-weeks’ notice, subject to the availability of the teacher.
- Teacher Substitutions – Music Centre Canada employs well qualified teachers and we reserve the right to substitute teachers when necessary without prior notice to the student.
- Specific time slots are only held for periods that are pre-paid. Students may be removed from the schedule if they miss two consecutive lessons without notice (No Show) or if they have not pre-paid for their lessons.
- Program Cancellation – Please provide a minimum of 2-weeks advance notice of the last lesson. No refunds will be given for pre-paid lessons at cancellation. If 2-weeks’ notice is not given then a charge equal to any unpaid lessons + two lessons will be made to the credit card on file.
- Although it is best for Students to work one on one with their Teacher, Parents are welcome inside the teaching room on occasion. Parents are encouraged to discuss the student’s progress, practice routine and goals for learning with the teacher.
- The front-desk staff are here to make sure you have a great educational experience; you can talk to us about any concerns or questions you have regarding your teacher and the lessons or to discuss changing teachers. ALL notices for schedule changes, absences or other issues should be communicated directly to the front desk so it can be recorded in the system.
